Collaborators

The collaborator tool was created to facilitate team management within an account, allowing different people to access and operate according to specific roles and permissions. With it, you can delegate tasks, control access, and ensure operational security without needing to share passwords or credentials for your application.

Each invited person will create their own account and password, ensuring individualized and secure access.

This functionality is intended for online store owners and developers who have a single application or none yet and do not use shared credentials.

Collaborators with permission can invite others to the team. To do this, go to the Manage collaborators page and click Invite collaborator.

Set up a collaborator

To set up a collaborator, you need a Mercado Pago account. If you don’t have one yet, visit our homepage and click Create your account.

Next, the process must be completed in two steps: Create collaborator role and Set roles permissions. Follow the steps below.

You can customize each collaborator’s role and permissions, providing greater security and efficiency in team management. For example, when inviting someone to work as a cashier, you can grant only the permission to receive payments – without access to other account information.
