1. In the side menu, select Store settings > Payments > Settings.

2. In the Payment conditions tab, click the button with the + symbol in the upper right corner of the screen to add a new payment method.

3. Search for the Credit card category and select the brand you want to configure.

4. Complete the necessary fields:

   • Condition Name: choose a name that allows you to identify this payment method and click the checkmark located to the right to save it.
   • Status: activate the payment method using the sliding button.
   • Process with provider: select MercadoPagoV2.

5. Select the In full option.

6. Optionally, you can add special requirements by clicking the Add special condition button.

   • Expiration date: Allows limiting the payment method activity only to specific date periods or establishing a recurrence.
   • Card issuer: Allows limiting the payment method activity according to the country and issuing bank of the card.
   • Trade policy (Sales channel): Makes a payment condition available only for one or several specific trade policies.
   • Commercial condition: Creates rules that apply to specific groups of SKUs and determines criteria for a payment method to appear in the store checkout.
   • Account name: This field should only be completed if you have more than one store registered in the same VTEX account. In those cases, you must select which store you want to configure the payment method for.

7. Click Save to activate the configuration.

   • Minimum installment: Set a minimum monetary value from which this payment option will be offered.
   • Billing: this field will only be taken into account for installments with interest, so any option is valid.
   The number of installments configured in this instance will take priority over the maximum installments indicated during the payment provider configuration. We recommend indicating the same amount to avoid inconsistencies.

6. Click Save to activate the configuration.

You can configure installments with interest for credit card payments and customize the interest percentage for each installment. To do this, you must first install the Mercado Pago installments connection application and then configure interest installment payments for the brand you want to offer. Follow the steps below.

To ensure that the installment and interest conditions configured in VTEX match those configured in Mercado Pago and avoid billing inconsistencies, you must configure the Mercado Pago installments connection application. Follow the steps below to do so.

1. In the side menu, select Apps > Extension Hub > App Store.
2. In the search bar, type Mercado Pago installments connection and select the application that will appear below.

3. Click the Install button. A pop-up window will appear where you can read the terms and conditions. If you agree, confirm it using the Install button.
4. Click the Item # 0 button to link the seller's Mercado Pago account with the VTEX store. On this screen, you will be asked for Mercado Pago credentials for Provider Authorization. Complete the fields accordingly:

5. In the Payment Methods section, uncheck the credit card brands that do not correspond to the country where the VTEX store operates.

6. Finally, in the next window, click Save to finish the installation.

6. Then, click the Set interest rate button. Interest rates will be automatically configured with those you have established in your Mercado Pago account.
