Checkout Pro is a Mercado Pago checkout with redirection. With this solution, the customer chooses the product or service in your store, pays in a Mercado Pago environment with their saved payment methods, and automatically returns to your store. This payment method already includes card payments, payments in up to 12 installments without a card with Mercado Pago, payments with account money, and offline payment methods.

In VTEX, you will find this payment method as MercadoPagoPro. To configure it, follow these steps.

1. In the side menu, select Store settings > Payments > Settings.

2. In the Payment conditions tab, click the button with the + symbol in the upper right corner of the screen to add a new payment method.

3. Search for the MercadoPagoPro option and select it.

4. Complete the necessary fields:

   • Condition Name: choose a name that allows you to identify this payment method and click the checkmark located to the right to save it.
   • Status: activate the payment method using the sliding button.
   • Process with provider: select MercadoPagoV2.

5. Optionally, you can add special requirements by clicking the Add special condition button.

   • Expiration date: Allows limiting the payment method activity only to specific date periods or establishing a recurrence.
   • Card issuer: Allows limiting the payment method activity according to the country and issuing bank of the card.
   • Trade policy (Sales channel): Makes a payment condition available only for one or several specific trade policies.
   • Commercial condition: Creates rules that apply to specific groups of SKUs and determines criteria for a payment method to appear in the store checkout.
   • Account name: This field should only be completed if you have more than one store registered in the same VTEX account. In those cases, you must select which store you want to configure the payment method for.

6. Click Save to activate the configuration.

Upon completing this configuration, you will be redirected to the Payment Conditions screen, where you will see MercadoPagoPro activated.

With Checkout Pro all payment methods that are available in Mercado Pago are included by default, but it is possible to indicate which payment methods and types you want to exclude. This exclusion will work for payments offered with Checkout Pro exclusively, and you can modify it as many times as necessary.

• Payment methods: are individual methods or card brands with which you do not want to receive payments.
• Payment types: are general payment method categories. For example, by excluding credit cards, payments with any credit card are no longer accepted.

Follow the steps below to perform the exclusion.

1. In your VTEX platform administration panel, go to Store settings > Payment > Providers.
2. In the providers list, select MercadoPagoV2.
3. In the "Details" section, click the Edit button.
4. In the Métodos de pagamento excluídos - Métodos de pago excluídos and Tipos de pagamento excluídos - Tipos de pago excluidos sections, complete with the payment methods or types you want to exclude. Review the table with the nomenclatures of each method and payment type in VTEX, and make sure to include them exactly as indicated there.

6. Finally, click the Save button located at the beginning of the "Details" section.
