Point joins the new experience at Mercado Pago and now allows you to accept in-person payments using its card readers by creating orders through the new API, designed to streamline your development.

How does it work? With a single integration using the Orders API, you can connect multiple Mercado Pago solutions, whether it's Checkout API for online payments, or Mercado Pago Point for in-person payments, and simplify the payment management process in your system.

With the new Orders API, you can:

• Integrate different payment solutions without the need to work with multiple APIs, simplifying the integration process.
• Manage payments directly from your system and automatically reconcile operations with Mercado Pago.
• Offer multiple payment methods, adapting more effectively to each customer profile.
• Optimize your business performance by automating tasks and reducing errors in payment processing and reconciliation.
• Get a complete list of all errors in a single response when submitting a request, instead of receiving them individually.
• Configure your notifications from the “Your integrations” panel and receive more detailed information about your transactions.

How does Point work with Orders?

• Create an order through the Orders API.
• The Point terminal loads the order automatically.
• The buyer makes the payment with the selected payment method.
• The order status is automatically updated with the payment result.
