Go to production

Before going to production with your Mercado Pago Point integration to your point of sale, make sure to comply with the following points.

Remember that each terminal you are going to operate with in an integrated manner must be configured in PDV mode. Make sure to confirm this for each terminal you will use in production.

Make sure you are using the appropriate credentialsUnique access keys used to identify an integration in your account, linked to your application. For more information, access the link below.Credentials for the type of integration you have made.

  • Self-integration: API request must be made using your production Access TokenPrivate key of the application created in Mercado Pago, that is used in the backend in development environments and when receiving real payments. You can access it through Your integrations > Application details > Production > Production credentials..
  • Integration for a third party: API request must be made using the Access Token obtained through the OAuth protocolPrivate key generated through the OAuth security protocol, which allows managing integrations on behalf of third parties. For more information, go to the documentation.OAuth. Remember that the Access Token has a validity of 180 days and you must renew it through the Refresh Access Token flow prior to its expiration.

Confirm in Your integrations that you have configured your production mode Webhooks notifications and have indicated a production URL to receive updates about the orders.

Mercado Pago reports provide information to track account transactions, such as available balance, movements, and liquidity. This facilitates reconciliation of sales and other operations with internal management systems.

While they are optional, we recommend using reports to improve business financial management once you go to production.
